Well, I was on the MINI GRACE Commission for Palm Beach County for several years. We met once a month on a Saturday. We had access to all areas of govt but not even so much a secretarial help. Just meeting once a month for 1/2 a day we saved the county over 10 million $$ just in OBVIOUS wasteful spending. And I dont mean we cut out anything, we just showed them how to do the services they were doing more effeciently and often better for the recipients. Based upon my limited oversight I would estimate at a bare minimum 20% of Govt spending could be eliminated with absolutely no negative effect to programs. Imagin what THAT could do for the budget. jdn
