Based on the latest action, I really think NOK is running out of time. As you can see from the comments below, it is obvious that they want to settle and they want to get on with the business of making phones.

Nokia says facts in its favour in Qualcomm row

HELSINKI, Aug 17 (Reuters) - Nokia Chief Financial Officer Rick Simonson told Reuters on Friday that the facts in its major row over cross-licensing technology patents with Qualcomm Inc (QCOM) were very much in its favour.

A legal row between the two firms has continued since part of a cross-licensing deal over technology patents expired on April 9. Their increasingly bitter fight is worrying investors and the industry on both sides of the Atlantic.

Simonson said Nokia hoped to reach agreement "rather sooner than later", but was not willing to hurry.

"If I believe in my case, which I do, I have all the time in the world. We believe that the facts are very much in our favour," he said.

This is a cry for help. I think now with Lupin gone, QCOM should jump on this opportunity and give the NOK a helping hand and bring them to the table.
