I'm thinking this scenario (intermeeting cut) most closely parallels 01/03/01, the last time the Fed did an intermeeting cut. We had a sharp short covering reaction, a low volume retest of the lows, then a grind higher for a few weeks. Then back into the great bear market of 2001-2002. I expect similar action this time around:
