Thanks for your explanation. I appreciate honesty. "things are complicated, and I'm lazy". Now if this was an one-liner, it would suffice.

So what can we do? Because what you state is true, we need to create knowledge out of all the small parts that is put in here and from that go out of here with a better knowledge on how the world works.

Because the alternative is to have people whose work is only to analise the isses get their knowledge and skin the rest of us alive, we must strive to be knowlegeable.

We don't want the wayomen to come and eat our lunch because we are stupid do you?

>My main disagreement with people generally, and on SI in particular, is the tendency that they often have to seize onto simple explanations for very complex phenomena. This works in basic physics, say, but not at all well in complex systems, like most of biology right up to human behaviour.>

Why do you complicate human behaviour? Human behaviour works pretty similar to animal behaviour. Men know how to tame other animals for a long time. They even teach them tricks. Humans also know how to tame other humans. That is how organizations can run (families, churches, cities, countries, corporations, government). There is a conscious and unconscious manipulation by the people in power. Slagle and Elmat are just trying to point out some cases where they have noticed such manipulation. Maybe after they have seen one, they see other manipulations when they don't really exist. Maybe they cry wolf (or wayo) too often.
