There was a Mad Dash For Cash and a genuine run on the bank at Countrywide over fears of bankruptcy. Fed regulators said they were not alarmed but sure acted alarmed by cutting the discount rate 50 basis points. But we're not going to bottom as long as the Fed interferes in the market. With Bernanke at the helm, this could be a very long wait.
