Wow. Is that what the Jepps did? Just came here to have an American baby. Wouldn't have thunk it from the newspaper stories. Seemed to be more to it than that. Maybe that's why people accepted it.

I had recognized that earlier but forgot to mention it when I composed my reply on word choice. It was probably that tone that lead me to my too strong choice of words for the obvious acceptance of a foreigner coming here and having an American baby.


What about the showing up of Canada's overly hyped socialist health system did you find objectionable?

I find linking the socialized health care not being able to provide needed care angle to "obvious acceptance of a foreigner coming here and having an American baby" weird. The story would have meant the same to me if it had been someone with a heart condition or cancer (which btw happens every day - people like that come to America from Canada all the time).
