Some type of faux restoration of credibility needs to be restored to credit agencies and fast.


Amaranth has already been used to place blame - maybe Bear Stearns or Mozillo & Co. at CFC? <g>

There will be a lot of lessons from this debacle.

One of the most obvious is that the system of risk categorization that was used in the past is inadequate for these new credit entities.

This is a sobering comment and really drives home what a Rube Goldberg system was permitted to be foisted on investors.
