Too funny. ;^) My sister has a recipe for fruitcake that actually tastes good. She candies the cherries and pineapple chunks herself, toasts pecans, uses real butter and bourbon and orange juice. Nothing weird like citron, just cherries, pineapple, and pecans and cake batter laced with bourbon. Very tasty. I think it's Texas style. Maybe Ron Paul is Texas style fruitcake himself, he's usually quite sane. Gotta run before the beautiful day goes away. Later.
