No, not necessarily a good thing.

It's helpful to have perspective from those on the outside, from those whose livelihood doesn't depend on corporate whims.

Good lawyers need independence to do their best work. In house counsel have their role and so do outside counsel. It sounds like Q is going to rely heavily on inside counsel, and I'm not convinced that's a good thing.
