Re: I think you overstepped your expertise. Is, as you said case temperature (also called junction temperature, or Tj) true or did you overstep your engineers position.

I actually addressed this in another post.

I made this mistake, because TDP used to be measured at Tj, but that was before the chips started using the integrated heat spreader. With the flip chip package, the thin material between the bottom of the silicon substrate and the surface is small, so measuring at Tj made sense. With the IHS, it makes more sense to take that metal into account, and call it Tcase at the top of its surface. I hope you'll be satisfied with my apology for making the mistake. I now know the reason behind it, and I think I've explained it in good faith to you and this forum. I'd prefer to build my credibility, which I know is low today because of mistakes such as these.

Re: How many folks in the INTC spin department do you have at your disposal?

Zero. If I did, I'm sure they would have helped to correct my mistake earlier. You are speaking to a single person in search for the truth, and I will humbly accept any corrections to my posts in the future. I have attempted due diligence in my research of thermal specifications, and I think my reasoning is sound at this point.

Re: Or are you going to stand behind this one? "The Us versus Them mentality that people like you drive on this forum does not lead to healthy discussion."

I hope you don't mind me summarizing, but if your point is my stance on the Us versus Them mentality, then my stance has not changed. I would prefer if people here simply stick with the facts, and not argue on the basis of one's bias. I'm quite aware of my bias (which I have mentioned enough times publicly, not to mention all the puts I have short on AMD, as well as my large INTC long investment). But I'd rather people debate the facts with me, rather than whether my opinions come for Intel or not. I'm sure Intel has better ways to spend their money than to hire people to post on this forum. As evidenced in the years that I have posted here, there is nothing that has been posted here that has effected the performance of either Intel or AMD. So if either of these companies are investing in the posts on SI, they should seriously consider spending their money elsewhere.
