SBIRs are less likely to result in "orders" from the DOD, especially just phase II, than phase III DARPA grants or STTRs. Phase III SBIRs (bring to market) are not government financed. Hence, while successful, this suggests they are still a year out from market, but also note that the test was for the laser system. Who is the system integrator, and what phase is that at? Unknown at this point.
