Ted, who ends up paying for all the socialistic programs that the Democrats want? Not the poor, because they have nothing to tax. The rich? Sure, but they'll never tax themselves back into the middle class. So you admit that you we are getting snookered by the rich but you intend to lay down and let them roll over you. I wish there was a mirror that would reflect what you say objectively enough so you see it clearly. The ones who get up getting it in the end are those in the middle class who have the potential to become rich and achieve the American dream. High taxes will ensure that they'll never become rich, at least not with good old fashioned hard work, ingenuity, and frugality. Its not taxes that will keep the middle class from getting rich but rather the way the system is devised. Have you noticed that the haves have set it up so that the main beneficiaries of the federal budget are big corporations like Lockheed, Textron, Boeing, Exxon Mobile etc.? There isn't a lot of money to be made in health care........not like in defense and aerospace. The rich are getting richer not only from tax cuts but mostly from the businesses they own that the gov't rewards handsomely. So stop placing the blame on taxes.......the Republicans use taxes as a diversionary measure to keep you from seeing where the real money is. Hence, you can either afford to be a Democrat, or you can't afford to be anything but a Democrat. For everyone else, there's conservatism ... ;-) Yeah, right........another clever sort of ditty from the right.
