Good find Condor. There is a huge period of adjustment coming. As I said I see an opportunity for the world economic pie to grow and be shared by perhaps billions of people emerging from poverty. Is that not a good thing?

The sad fact is that governments do occasionally shoot themselves (well, their nations, more accurately) in the foot. I believe Bush's government did exactly that by invading Iraq, and the USSR did the same by invading Afghanistan. There are numerous other examples.
