Thanks for the article. Frankly, I don't care one hoot whether they will have their "century" or not! As nobody can predict anything with certainty, the professor might well be wrong. I suspect he was asked to make that prediction just to calm some people's nerves and please others who are jealous of China. Who knows? that prof. might well turn out to be another Dr. Watson!!! Look: an array of think tanks and banks of computers predicted American success in 2003. But since then, FOUR years later and counting, the victory the US has been looking for is still nowhere in sight. So much for predictions! However, some things to worry about include: 1. China's surplus young men (about 50M of them) who could not find wives in China will be coming to America to make American women produce slitty-eyed kids whether the women want to or not! Do you want yourself (if you are female) and/or your girls to be grabbed and ..........????? 2. China's military technology has advanced so much they can now blind US eyes and spies in the sky or shoot them down. 3. China possesses sonic torpedoes that can turn American aircraft-carriers into floating graveyards. To neutralise threats 2 & 3, the US will have to spend a lot of money to upgrade its weapons systems. Unfortunately, as the recent market collapse has convinced us, the US just does not have the dough. Of course, it can still try. But it will be getting into deeper financial doo doo................... A very grim and sad scenario, isn't it? .
