YOu are much to cynical EC -lol; and discounting existential behavior which allows for free will---sort of-lol. Existentialists feel you validate your existence by how you live your life. Jimmy Carter and Bill clinton have done lots to selflessly serve the public. They both felt it was important to help their fellow man!!! Some people live a life of spirituality, whereby they feel a need and desire to live life as decent human beings helping all life on earth.
