I don't know about you, but when I was in my late teens, early 20s, pretty much everything seemed new and special when traveling. I'd never eaten an Avocado, and remember stopping in California, near Yosemite, and one of my traveling companions bought an avocado and spouts for sandwiches. Wonderful. Then there was the time we bought a good loaf of rye bread and a wheel of Gouda cheese in Penticton, BC, and ate it for lunch by the shores of Okanagan Lake.

Penticton is where I saw the movie "Woodstock."
