Last time I tried something similar (late 2006/early 2007) I lost the bet bigtime. Though, in my opinion, this crisis should be left to run its course, you can't trust these central banks. It seems that when you least expect it, someone rushes in to artificially prop up the asset class du jour, setting off yet another incomprehensible rally in stocks.

Shall I cover when we go into the fed meeting?

A gain is a gain, as I type we approach 1300, selling is rampant. Only thing is, it was the wrong stuff to short. The chinese indices lost 30% within a little bit more than one month.

Looks like China is not growing either this year. By normal measures the indices have another 30% to fall, until 2007 gains come undone.
