The old "moral equivalency" crap again. The old crap about "moral equivalency" again. We can say that chihuahuas and wolves are of a common species without implying any further equivalency. It's a matter of differentiation--compare and contrast. Comparing doesn't obviate any contrasts that may exist. Mentioning that they are both canines adds to our understanding of each without suggesting that a chihuahua will rip your throat out or that a wolf would make a good family pet.
