Rick,
I respectfully disagree with regards to the benefits of "coalition" wars. If anything, that is even worse than the "lone ranger" method we used in Iraq.

Take the Balkans, our destructive bombing of Serbia made us a country full of enemies who will despise us forever. And we will pay for it too, of that you can be sure. And the "protected group", the Albanian and Kosovar Muslims will not appreciate our help either.

In this war there was no "high moral purpose". There were thugs and terrorists on all sides and especially guilty in this regard were the local Muslims, the ones our bombing was designed to help.

What you had here was a desire on the part of the dictatorial and completely undemocratic EU to expand their control in the region and Serbia and "Pan-Slavism" was an impediment to this plan. We had no interests in the matter whatsoever.

I remember one scene from TV showing the bombing of Serbia: It was a scene of the Yugo auto plant bombed flat and in flames. You suppose that was a "strategic military target" or maybe an extremely dirty job we were doing for the EU tyrants?

We should avoid "coalition warfare" at all cost, especially when a party to the coalition is a dangerous and destructive entity like the EU.
