I did not suggest that mortgage interest rates will stay low!!! I think they will rise, and that housing prices will fall. I expect that the housing market will bottom out 3-5 years from now, with lower prices and higher* interest rates. That would be the time to buy.

*Note: Buyers of foreclosed property may be able to get special "sweetheart" financing from lenders working off a glut of unsold property.
