Thanks ya'll for keeping this thread active..I've been in Albany, NY area(still am) and immersed in summer-time family activities..it's an interesting mix of folk.."God Bless our Troops" signs intermingling with "Impeach Bush" posters..actually refreshing to be surrounded by folk living and working together with such diverging opinions of current events..Marin, Ca is a bit more homogeneous ;-) and :-(

That said, I really don't have a pulse on what is really going on with the campaign beyond the headlines..most folk I talk to here are not really tuned in to the election yet..For sure, Obama's biography is still to be learned in these parts while Hilary opinions are engraved..my very unscientific poll says that dems in this area don't particularly like Hilary but they'd vote for her experience vs. Obama..Edwards rarely even comes up..Republicans seem to like Giulani more than anyone else..the current Democrat governor who lives in town, Eliot Spitzer, has been embroiled in political scandals..so the repubs and local media have been having a field day..

If anyone wants to post an updated national pulse?..I'm especially curious about Black voters and where they're sitting..I'd much appreciate it!..Hope everyone has been enjoying a safe summer..

Disclosure: Obama supporter..
