Given that Christians make up 90% of the US, and Muslims less than 1%, I figure I have time before I need to order my designer hijabs.

Christians certainly have murdered thousands in the past - probably would have used planes had they had them back then- and way more than 3K. Man has always seemed intent on annihilating perceived enemies, and those are often defined by religious belief.

The West seems to have made some wonderful strides. Really, I am a big fan of us.

But you are making some odd leap from my believing that you find extremism in all religious groups and being willing to watch the program before deciding what it is about, to my lying down with the Islamofascists. That is just so strange to me.

Of course Amanpour's biggest problem is that she can't portray Islamofascists in their true light because she would either 1. permanently endanger her life. or 2. never get another interview with extremists because she will be considered unsympathetic, and therefore untrustworthy.

She doesn't face that difficulty with Christians or Jews, mostly because they don't kill journalists who happen to disagree with them and are much more tolerant. Although she really needs to stick to the facts or risk being alienated there too.

For this reason alone, the series is most likely to be a little like white bread. I hope I'm wrong, and that Amanpour's approach is accurate and factual.

And this entire discussion has been such a great ad for the series starting tomorrow night. I don't know how anyone can not at least take a look.

On another front....

I could only watch a few minutes without rolling my eyes. Maybe I'll give it another try later?
