We asked whether all students were required to read a work of Miller, and whether CW was expected to, when others weren't. When the answer was no, that he merely had to report on Miller himself, we agreed to the assignment. Do you think the teacher changed the assignment when you asked or was that the original assignment to begin with? the wrongness of what that teacher had done appears to have been the comment that was relayed to you. I would agree teachers need to be circumspect and sensitive to others even when dealing with challenging teenagers.
