The problem is that PJ has not gotten any respect from his counterparts in BRCM and NOK. And the legal fiasco of course makes it worse.

Just look at Google. The two Ph.D. students are genius in the technical field, but they realized that they need a seasoned CEO to run the company (or at least they listened to the venture capitalist) and GOOG is run by Eric Schmidt. Maybe QCOM can learn from GOOG and find out that PJ is good in the technical field, but need an experienced man for the top job.

Another example is Henry Clay Ford, Jr. He knew that he did not have the talent nor experience of a CEO. So he got Alan Mullaly from Boeing.
