From my initial post to Lindy: But this is the language of metaphor and symbolism, of the spiritual battle between good and evil, not a physical reality (with the exception of a few wacko bombers of abortion clinics) I was trying to say, with regards to the Amanpour title, that there was some legitimate basis for applying the term to Christians. It is not a new term. Some Christians use this term. It's not at all unusual. It has, however, a very different meaning from that of chopping off heads.
