"Doggone it, Buddy. The Iraq war is "off budget", so stop mucking up the argument that the budget deficits are declining."

R-I-G-H-T....

(Hey, I'm just a simple guy, obviously not one of those 'imaginative' budget accountants so in-demand inside the Beltway in D.C.. A half TRILLION DOLLARS *borrowed* by the government to pour out on the sands of Iraq is a half Trillion that the taxpayers are gonna get stuck with at SOME POINT I think - regardless of how D.C. tries to hide the damage from the public....)

"And if we somehow drift into a mild recession next year, I am sure it will be Bill Clinton's fault somehow...or Ron Paul's."

LOL! Don't forget the ever-popular one of "It's fear of a Hillary win!" which I'm sure we will see splashed across several media outlets. (Wanna bet - if a serious downturn ensues - that no one ever thinks to run the exact same wistful headline... but with a different proper name selected from the current crop of Presidential candidates as he subject? Say "It's fear of a Guilianni win!"... or "It's fear of a Brownback win!" LOL!

Nah, I really *do* get it. None of the latter would sell any newspapers like the good old reliable! <g>
