I think they ought to ban iPod use as well.

my son's new BMW has an ipod connection that allows him to scroll on his NAV screen....i suppose it's better than trying to scroll one-handed on a tiny screen ipod, but even still i think there is way too much distraction while driving now

the worst offender is the cellphone, by virtue of the fact that their use while driving is almost ubiquitous

I'll go you one better, and this is something I never thought I'd favor.

I think we should ban use of cell phones and similar devices by pedestrians in cross-walks or public roadways. Period.

I see people walking around with one thing or another in their hand, ear, etc., to distract them from where they should be looking.

Half of the time, they're trying to walk into me!
But at least I'm not a 4000 pound car.
