Vietnam was a line in the sand so to speak to stop communist expansion and yes it served it's purpose, but the manner in which we left undermined the perception of our resolve in a way that is still haunting us which is why we must not succumb to intimidation in Iraq. Oh, this is all nonsense.........theories and wars conjured up to keep our war industries churning and Americans filled with patriotic fervor. You know all that but you want so badly to believe in the rhetoric.
