I agree that it never pays to be a perma-bear. Stocks will always have a propensity to go up and a cheaper dollar will ultimately make US stocks cheaper.

I also agree that as a rule you should never fight the Fed, but the Fed has gotten itself in a box and it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

That being said you can make money in both directions and there is a time to be long and a time to be short.

I always take profits on strong down days and add back to shorts after several up days.

Time will tell if this was a good time to be short or long?
