Ichy. I despise all of islam because they are weak and their cowardice blooms in the face of the fanatics. Very very few of them speak out and repel the militants from their midst. rough cut dick's pathetic attempt to divide and conquer is despicable. He should be ashamed and instead of maligning the ones that speak out against his misbegotten cult; perhaps he should grow up and look inside himself and his quirky belief system... They are not worthy of my respect. Anyway seeing him post here again after he said he would not shows he is a lair and a weak one at that. I believe it was Martin Luther King that said...I paraphrase here, "The day we remain quiet about the important things is the day we begin to die"

I remember it and I was not part of it. My guess is that when it was fashionable to be bigotted against those groups or any others (except maybe their own) the fine folks of this thread were at the head of the class. There was a study done on Indian reservations in the 1950s regarding children at play. In those days a common play time activity was Cowboys and Indians. Did you know that the Indian chilren always wanted to be the cowboys in that game where Indians always lost. It's not hard to figure out how descrimination and bigotry works ... we just need some good propaganda and a percentage of the population that will fall for anything. There are plenty of dupes, that's why we still see things like the genocide in Rawanda. No one in Rawanda believed their neighbors would suddenly turn violent and deadly over simple bigotry. Jews didn't believe it in Germany as the Nazi ideas grew. Bosnia, another example. etc etc etc Bigotry knows no demographic limits and needs only a few dupes to start stoking the fires. " To expect Americans to be anything other than suspicious, is foolishness, and the present Political correctness is making that suspicion worse not better." I am very skeptical as is everyone I know. There is a difference between caution and agressive bigotry. The former is informed the latter is simply paranoid fear unleashed. I am not a friend of anyone I can't trust to be completely truthful with me. If you know anyone like that I will happily turn over my most prised treasure, my children's future, to them. Until then the kiddies will have to count on me to continue doing my self reliant best.
