If you don't mind an agnostic chiming in- I think both theism, of any kind, and atheism, are both beliefs. I wouldn't call them both religions- since I think religion generally connotes a positive belief in something, rather than a negative belief.

I find theism and atheism equally problematic from a "proof" point of view.

Yeah. Plus I read a lot. And I read people and publications I disagree with - I've read all of the guys and publications I mentioned in my previous post for example.
