Weren't we talking about colleges? The footbaths are a college issue. I don't think you get special rooms in elementary school- and where they are provided it is wrong (imo). What the religion might be outside of this country, has no impact on what I think the legal treatment should be here. All the Muslims I have had in my classes have been lovely, and wonderful to me. They have been extremely respectful students, as a teacher I've got to love that, with classes in excess of 35 sometimes. I must be guided at least somewhat by the people I meet, and the Muslims I meet are great people. (To be honest, they remind me a lot of the Mormon students- very family centered, patriarchal structure- but it seems to have positive effects for the most part, and very very focused on work and school.)
