The increase in QTL’s earnings before taxes for the third quarter of fiscal 2007 as compared to the third quarter of fiscal 2006 was primarily attributable to the increase in revenues, partially offset by an increase in legal expenses, which resulted in a corresponding decline in operating margin percentage. Q's legal expenses could go to $1 billion a quarter and it wouldnt change the royalty rate calculation. Expenses effect margins, not revenue. Slacker
