New short statistics released today on the NYSE website show that MOT short interest has gone from 128,408,273 shares TO 33,279,055 shares. That's a pretty significant drop over a month, MOT went from one of the largest short positions on the exchange to a much smaller one. Now what does it signify? MOT finally at bottom? Zander going out the door? Looking ahead to a possible new product cycle next year? Hedge fund machinations due to the subprime mess? Or nothing???

Regards,
John
