Hillary is wrong that the surge is working. I'm sure her language was nuanced and that direct quote is taken out of context. for instance in the same speech she said the Iraqi government is totally corrupt and needs to be replaced. So how can any surge work with a totally corrupt government in the middle of 3-4-5 civil wars? It can't. No matter how good our troops do, it will not work. There is no military solution and Cheney stated that in a 1994 speech when he explained why Bush Sr. didn't go into Baghdad. Cheney predicted exactly what happened in 2003-2007. So obviously cheney has been lying to us since day one. Knowingly intentionally lying and not caring about how many are killed or how much it costs us.
