That's a very different life than marrying the 67 year old geezer, and carrying his children, and if he lives another 15 years getting divorced by him so that he can produce more offspring. And having your parents sentence you to that life. It's not the same at all. One is the shame of the village, the other is an individual succumbing to the temptation of money. I've nothing against promiscuity, or prostitution. In fact, I'm in favor of both! But slavery is another story.
