Where do I go to find out what this thread thinks or doesn't think (always trust a woman to tell you what you are thinking even if it isn't).

RE:"But this thread thinks we are going to have a deep recession over this, thats where <<you>> are off"

1. Please show me where I said that.
2. This is not the Mish thread.
3. California had the same powerful economy before the RE bubble, it will have it after the bubble.
4. Sounds to me that you're banking on Real Estate for your retirement.
5. You seem to be living in a great area and have a good job.

Housing affects the economy on the downside too.
Housing supports a huge part of the food chain.
What do you think fed the booming economy of the past 6-7 years?
The new cars, TVs, vacations, shopping trips?
What happens when half the US population suddenly feels a whole lot poorer and many whole lot more in the hole? Of course, some will be affected more than others, but there's more than a fender bender coming.
The Fed has good reason to be panicking.

Liz,

We have people on the thread from all over the world. Please do not feel left out because your area is not going down. We realize that this leads to extreme jealosy and depression but not everyone can be experiencing a meltdown at the same time. Sorry about your luck but that's just the way it goes. TIC

PS Please do keep us posted about SV.
