you need to start looking at why things are the way they are and what can be done to improve them.

"Not perfectly avenged" doesn't equal "hardly avenged". We hit Al Qaeda in Afghanistan pretty hard, and have also operated against them elsewhere.

If we negotiated a peace treaty with Japan in January of 1945, that didn't allow for prosecution of Tojo, would Pearl Harbor not have been avenged in your opinion?

Its highly questionable that we ever had a serious chance.
