or there may not be kids at all.

Than you don't have a family of four do you?

You could have one wage earner and three old grannies (two of which were/are lesbians). Then you'd have a family of four with no kids! See...it's possible.

you need to start looking at why things are the way they are and what can be done to improve them.

The best way to cure incomes not be as high as we would like them to be is continued economic growth. A lot of the interventions you propose do more to get in the way of that than to help it out.

Tell me then why are we producing less higher quality jobs here in WA state than in previous recoveries? We have economic growth here in WA state......much better than most states, and yet, the better jobs are MIA. Tim, your thesis doesn't hold up under close scrutiny. It never does. That's why I trust little that emanates from the right. Your theories work best for the rich and what's ever left over trickles done to the rest of us.
