I never said it wasn't important to get bin Laden (although "highly important" might be a bit much, even if we do get him the terror network will continue).

And yes we didn't do it. I didn't say we did.

What I did accurately post was

1 - Its a bit dubious to say we didn't avenge 9/11.

2 - To this day its uncertain if we ever really had a decent chance at getting bin Laden.

It was highly important to cut off the head of al Qaeda at that time, especially bin Laden, and we didn't do it. We diverted our resources, and created a mess.
