You get no argument from me on that, but...

The government doesn't play the game the same way other businesses do. They will keep the same numbers as long as they can milk the taxpayers. Private business will cut back when things get tough.

A more important factor that will impact the government is the results of the next elections, IF a financially competent candidate wins. Unfortunately that eliminates almost every contender right now. Hillary and Dudd will spend and tax us into oblivion.

Don't care which party wins as long as their candidate is competent. Have had more than enough of the incompetence of Bush, Rove, and Cheney. Cheney can't even pull the trigger of a gun without shooting one of his friends.
