"CPSC Recalls More Chinese-Made Toys"
The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling more toys made in China.

Sponge Bob Squarepants address books and journals are being recalled after officials said paint on the metal spiral bindings can contain high levels of lead .

Spinning tops and pails painted with Thomas and Friends, Curious George and other circus scenes are also being recalled for concerns about lead as well as three different “Toby and Me” jewelry sets.

Over time lead paint, in small amounts, can damage a child's brain.

In high doses, it can be fatal.

The latest recall comes on the heels of two Mattel recalls involving toys tainted with lead.

Last week, Mattel recalled more than 18 million Chinese-made toys.

Two weeks prior, other toys tainted with lead were recalled.

For a complete list of the products involved and more information on the recall, visit www.cpsc.gov .
