What different experiences----hellfire did not even enter my thoughts then------as I was predestined to be chosen with no thoughts of hell.

I was a Presbyterian for many years before converting to Catholicism. I learned it a little differently. As I recall you were PREDESTINED to one of two paths. The good path or the bad path but YOU chose which path to take. jdn

I grew up in a Baptist church (every Sunday morning and night and often Wed night) and never heard a word about the doctrine of predestination.

Most Protestant churches don't teach Calvinism.

I was also raised as a Presbyterian. The predestination thing was certainly one of the first things that made me realize what a crock it all is.

A prattling babe in a crib is predestined to spend it's eternity writhing and roasting in hellfire!

I looked at it the other way. Raise as much hell as you care to and go whatever your baser instincts lead you. If you are predestined for heaven, thats where you will end up.
