Egypt has more experience than anyone in dealing with extremists. They shot at the Brotherhood back in the 20's, they hung Qutb. Somehow I have a feeling that they will not be quick to succumb.

edit - Balkans story has been and still is a mystery to me. If we wanted to stop killings in Kosovo (and, coincidentally, help the KLA), why did it have to be done by bombing Belgrade and crashing down city bridges in Novy Sad? Not to mention that it killed the chances for any long term proximity with post-Communist Russia. We are experiencing the aftereffects today.
