I understand...but if you knew nothing about the man except his position on spending, international relations (involvement in nation-building), immigration reform (amnesty lite), creation of huge new, unfunded social programs (Medicare Part D) the handing out of "gift cards" after Katrina with no controls....

He would look pretty "lefty" to me!

Why not?

(Expand government, expand federal control over all, attack State's Rights, reduce individual liberties, *borrow* huge sums on the backs of the taxpayers, engage in counter-productive and massively expensive foreign adventures.... sure sounds like the stereotypical 'leftie' to me.)
