In our 24/7 news soaked culture, it's the headlines that grab. So, someone electrocuting puppies, or slamming them to the ground till dead is news, unfortunately.

That's the price he pays for being a millionaire sports star who got involved with unsavory activities. If he was Joe Smith, a Clerk at the local 7-11, likely he would not have been prosecuted at the federal level. Doesn't necessarily make it a railroading.
