I don't know. At one time I knew a few of the staff scientists, when they were pushing x-ray lithography, but all have since moved on. That's why I said it matters what the business model going forward will be. Is JMAR Systems still active? Is there anyone supporting or advancing the technology? Is it a net negative on the balance sheet? If the primary technology is still applications of lasers, what has changed in the past 5 years in terms of potential competitors? Etc.

I have thought once along the lines you have suggested. However, every time I build up a position, I find myself selling a portion during one of the bump ups. I have made money pretty consistently, inadvertently, trading in and out as a result.

IMO, JMAR has two major problems. The first and most important is that they have no money. It takes money to keep operating, pay salaries, suppliers, and all that mundane stuff. The undercapitalization may well force them into bankruptcy, even though their technology should be worth a lot more than the market to somebody.

The second problem is no PR coming out from them on the progress of their Biosentry product line, in the various trials going on with water applications, the utilities, cruise ships, beverage mfg, etc. One can only assume that whatever news exists there is not good, else it would be released. In this case, my guess is that no news is not good news.
