Reminds me of something I once heard a park ranger say: "with the construction of the US Interstate Highway System, you can now drive coast to coast and not see a damn thing." Isn't that the truth. I asked a friend who came through South Dakota what he thought of the Badlands. He said there wasn't much to them. I said did you get off of I 90 because if you didn't you didn't see the Badlands. Alas he had not. It's really a shame the beauty so many drive right by without taking the time to get off the Interstate a little bit.
