I am now running my boot camp partition in Fusion. I bought the Mac Pro with the expectation that I would use Boot Camp and Parallels. I added a separate HD just for the XP Pro partition. I require XP for some specific database apps and my preference for Streetsmart Pro for trading. I did not want to risk corrupting my XP partition inside a physical OSX HD.

Problem was Parallels never worked with my physical configuration, and I pretty much gave up on OSX. I've been using Fusion for two days now and it just plain worked. Slows down when I load too many apps in XP, but I will add some memory and start migrating my apps to OSX. #1 will be creative suite. I've held off upgrading in the expectation that I could go Mac native at some point. Looks like I'm good to go there now.

One limitation is dual monitor support using the unity paradigm. Virtual apps can only run on the primary monitor; no spanning, and no moving from one monitor to the other (anyone know of a fix/work-around?)

Anyway the short answer to your question(in my case now)is yes.
