When Barcelona starts getting in the 3+ GHz they will squeeze Xeon prices down. Uhh, no, mas. Ever heard of a bin distribution? Were AMD ever to manage to ship a 3GHz Barcelona, they can't squeeze on price without shooting themselves. Remember the vast bulk of their production that will be far below 3GHz. I think you're also forgetting when Nehalem is going to show up for servers. Suddenly, AMD again has only HALF the threading capability in their products, with no solution in sight.
